Essen – it is the world event for horse fans: Equitana opens its doors every 2 years in horseland Germany. Whether beginners or professionals-they all come to Essen from March 6th to 12th, 2025 to find out more about current equestrian trends, see and shop top stars.
Around 600 Exhibitor From 30 countries, the current trends of the equestrian industry show at Equitana, over 100,000 trade visitors and private individuals came to Essen in 2023. A highlight is that Late night shopping: On March 11, visitors can secure exclusive discounts at 10 p.m.

Premiere number 3: The first Vocational training day On the Equitana on March 12th. Young talents and specialists meet potential employers here. Job seekers can get to know different professional fields, make contacts and agree on trial working days.
New health world-meetings with well-known horse influencers
Theory and practice of horses are combined in the new Health world (Hall 1). During the first aid course, you learn to act quickly and correctly in an emergency. Visitors can expect a program with interactive experiences, top -class experts and exciting actions.
Horse influencers like Patrick Thomalla, Annica Hansen or Jesse Drent meet the Webstar convention on your community (east conference room). On March 8th and 9th, horse fans have the chance of a selfie, an autograph or a relaxed chat with their social media idols.
Spectacle at the Hop Top Show-horse end at Hoppi-Toppi
The Hop top show “Volaris” As in previous years, offers a top -class spectacle with magical moments (7th to 9th March, Hall 5). The range ranges from pony adventures of the youngest riders to spectacular performances, for example from Lorenzo, the flying Frenchman.
The new promises a real family experience Hoppi-Toppi show: The child-friendly program on March 8 with some hop top acts and influencer appearances comes up with a special highlight for young horse fans. The famous cinema horse Ostwind has its last appearance.
Opening times and tickets
From March 6 to 12, 2025, the Equitana 2025 opens every day from 10:30 p.m. on the exhibition center in Essen. On the last day of the fair, the fair closes at 6 p.m., on Tuesday it is open to the late night shopping on Tuesday. Tickets Can book visitors online in the ticket shop. Separate tickets are required for the Hop Top Show and for Education & Show.
