Nuremberg – “Anime & Friends” and “Healthy Heroes”, these are the toy trends for 2025. Ideas and innovations from all over the world will be presented at the toy fair from January 28th to February 1st, 2025. For four days it turns Nuremberg into a hotspot for board games, model making, dolls and the like.
The toy fair is the industry’s outstanding international event: 2024 The number of exhibitors rose by 10 percent to 2,354, 68 countries were represented. Around 57,000 trade visitors from 125 nations traveled to find out about new products and network.
This has the two top trends for 2025 Trend Committee determined at the toy fair. “Anime & Friends” covers the colorful world of Japanese cartoons and manga comics. Behind the term “Healthy Heroes” There are healthy, movement-oriented and mindful game ideas hidden.
The music is playing in the Toy Business Forum – new pitch with 12 exhibitors
Festival flair awaits visitors in the newly designed Toy Business Forum (Hall 3A), where also the ToyAward is awarded. A highlight is the talk with Spin Master CEO Max Rangel and trade fair director Christian Ulrich. The “Exhibitors on Stage” presentations put the latest products in the spotlight.
A brand new format in the forum is the ToyPitch: 12 exhibitors will present their product innovations in short presentations on stage on the Tuesday of the trade fair. Live podcasts with top-class guests as well as food trucks and networking opportunities round off the Toy Business Forum.
The best model cars in the world – showcase for prototypes
Another new addition to the 2025 Toy Fair: the Model Car Hall of Fame from the USA. It honors pioneers, personalities and brands in the model making industry. The induction ceremony of the MCHOF takes place on January 30th in the Toy Business Forum (Hall 3A).
Clear the stage for the game developers it says Game Inventors Convention on January 31st (NCC Mitte and other locations). It is the showcase for game ideas and prototypes. Editors from publishers and agencies come to the convention looking for innovative concepts.
Special areas at the trade fair – outdoor activity area enlarged
The “Specials” at the Toy Fair are special areas on specific topics: These include, for example “Toys for Kidults”i.e. toys for adults (centre entrance), as well as the platform for licensing professionals License Lounge (Foyer Hall 12.0), or the New Product Gallery (Hall 3A).
Whether ball sports, leisure games or RideOns: outdoor toys are booming – the Spielwarenmesse will have them in 2025 Action area (Hall 7A) enlarged again. 500 square meters invite the public to discover and try things out. A test track with obstacles promises real driving fun.
